Mass spectrometry (MS) has become a central technology to study biomolecules. Research in the Hao Lab is focused on developing and applying MS-based bioanalytical chemistry methods, in combination with cell biology and bioinformatics approaches, to study human diseases.

Dr. Hao joined the Department of Chemistry at the George Washington University as a tenure-track Assistant Professor in 2019. She has published over 30 articles with over 2K citations and presented at numerous national/international research conferences, as well as invited talks at other institutions.

Dr. Hao Ling is the L. B. (Preach) Meaders Emeritus Professor in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin. He received his Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois, and joined the faculty of the University of Texas at Austin in 1986.

Research focuses on developing novel and improved bioanalytical methods using LC-MS platforms and applying the combination of analytical chemistry, bioinformatics, and cell biology approaches to study human diseases.
