I filled my sketchbook with some cool monster cover sketches over my Christmas trip, so I'm going to be painting over them one by one and hopefully kicking off this year with some cool art to show off! They used magic (legend lore, contact other plane) and NPC contacts to learn how to find the lair and that: Iris' phylactery is a coin.

Everything about a lich’s lair reflects its keen mind and wicked cunning, including the magic and mundane traps that secure it. Undead, constructs, and bound demons lurk in shadowy recesses, emerging to destroy those who dare to disturb the lich’s work.
