The Leyak seems to be severely bugged. Other users said it doesn't spawn often enough. I on the other hand was doing some afk and tending to my farms (new crop requires tons of water, so I had to boil bunch of clean water) and my tower killed three under one hour.

Never died once to the Leyak. Had a close call with him surprising me around a corner though. IMO the Leyak fucking sucks though. It needs a rework. Here's a few mutually exlusive solutions. It's spawn should be tied to something such as Fatigue like he's the boogeyman that eats sleepy people. If you're carrying Leyak essence it shouldn't spawn.

Often, I know Leyak is around when they are already attacking me, which is a little too late. Im aware it's intentional that it's not too obvious and meant to scare you, but I don't really get much enjoyment out of not being able to have any chance of detecting it in the first place.
