1000-1099 are undergraduate non-credit courses for orientation, remedial, or other non-college-level experiences. These courses are in addition to a program’s graduation requirements. 1100-1999 are introductory, required or elective courses that may be prerequisite to other courses.

1000-level: Designed as a foundation or introductory course primarily for first- or second-year students; typically there are no prerequisites. Open to all undergraduate students meeting all requisites.

Per the faculty approved policies, only 4000 and 7000 level courses may be cross-level listed. Courses that are cross-listed should be from different departments, but cover the same content, with matching course descriptions.
