He is very passionate about the LBX his father invented, but all of that changed completely when a mysterious woman appears in front of him, entrusting him with a metal suitcase that contains the "great hope and despair for all humanity".

Four years after the creation of these fortified cardboard, in AD 2050, Van Yamano, a male middle school student, was entrusted with the LBX "AX-00" by a mysterious woman, containing a Platinum Capsule. Van learned from the woman that his father was still alive and knew about a secret conspiracy in the government.

Ban's preferred choice of LBX customization are preferrably Knight Framed types with lances and shields. He eventually adapts to other parts and weapons when understanding different battle situations as the series progresses. Achilles: Ban's first LBX. Odin: Ban's second LBX.
