I have a semi-weird question. How tall was Larry Bird? : r/nba
Bird is around a head taller than Stockton and that's like 9-10 inches, so Bird must be 6'10" or a little over 6'10" and Magic is around a little over 6'8". Maybe sometimes players just get listed with their height without shoes or height with it. They also increase or decrease their height just to fit the position they want to play in.
I’m 6’1”. Larry Bird was listed as 6’9” as a player, but I think he’s ...
I think his heighr standing here is much closer to his real height compared to ur height. But other than that idrk. To me I don’t see the 9 inch heighr moggery that much. It seems more a 7 8 inch maybe 8.5 inch. 9/10 inch moggery should mean ur around the jaw of the guy. My dad is a foot maybe 13 inches even taller than one of my teachers at ...
Players who are much taller/shorter than you imagined? : r/nba
OP's question is about height. I'm just saying that Jokic and Bird are very close in height, wingspan and (probably) standing reach. All of that metrics are subjected to the length, and when people make comparison's such as: "That guy is a 7'5 KD", they are not talking about weight, or any dimensional unit related to mass, or atleast that's ...
Larry Bird was a menace. : r/HistoryMemes - Reddit
Nov 22, 2023 · Pretty much. The NBA is about 70% black and about 16% white. Larry Bird was almost definitely the best white player of his era, and a lot of people remember him as "the best white guy" so to speak, in an era dominated by black players like Magic Johnson and Michael Jordan just to name a few.
"Larry Bird Build" : r/NBA2k - Reddit
Oct 23, 2023 · This is my 2-way diming 3-level threat build thrilled with that name, it's ment to play similar to Bird in real life obviously you can't 100% make him in 2k but to me this is a good blend of meta and Bird. Tell me how you guys rate it. And …
How good were Magic and Bird defensively? : r/nbadiscussion
Mar 8, 2023 · Larry Bird played defense akin to a safety, he'd be there to contest shots or play the passing lane very well. What's something to note is that people say he was unathletic, I agree as a small forward. What people don't know about Bird was before McHale came into his own, Larry Bird was the primary PF where he was actually very good and fit his ...
Could Larry bird have been the goat if he didn’t injure his back?
Jun 1, 2024 · Jordan’s resume is an arbitrary standard to meet and or exceed. He hasn’t surpassed plenty of players resumes and yet is considered the goat. Even when he wasn’t even an NBA champ yet guys like Magic and Bird were calling him the best ever. All that said bird could easily be in GOAT convos with 1 more chip and 1 more MVP
Winning Time: To those who have seen Larry Bird and Magic
Mar 17, 2022 · Larry would be more plug-in-play with only doubt being that he hasn't faced good wing defenders for most of his career. When modern wing defenders arrived (Pippen), Larry already messed his back. Current NBA has more players to defend Larry than in 80s. Still both will fit. If I'm small market team I'll take Bird, easier to build.
Bird vs Russel, who is the Celtics GOAT? : r/nba - Reddit
As a player, I rate Larry Bird's career above Bill Russell's. However, in the specific context of the Celtics franchise, it is indisputably Bill Russell. I mean, the dude won 11 championships in his 13 seasons as a player.
Just how good was Larry Bird? : r/nba - Reddit
Jan 1, 2023 · Outside of maybe Kareem; Larry Bird and Kevin McHale were the two most fundamentally sound players in the league. Their game was effective and efficient without a lot of wasted movement, motion or dribbling. Bird was the size of a power forward but typically/mostly played small forward.
