Aug 1, 2014 · I've chunked together, into a PDF file, the plans for the Lark scow as published in Rudder magazine in the 1940's. It calls for a traditional build of the Lark but that doesn't mean you couldn't utilize modern technology and build it another way.

For this 56th edition, racing among the scow sailors were Tokyo 2020 470 Olympian Lara Dallman-Weiss and US Sailing Team Executive Director Paul Cayard of America’s Cup, the Ocean Race, Olympic, and Star class fame.

Jul 28, 2014 · In the early 1900's the Lark scow was built everywhere, worldwide. Fifteen Larks were built at the Yokohama Y.C. Builders built to plans and those who couldn't help themselves built smaller Larks, bigger Larks, Larks with counter sterns.

A new sailing scow, the Laura Cove 28. Construction: Construction is plywood hull and deck planking over plywood bulkheads. Joints can be fillet and tape or sawn timber with screw fastenings. General Comments: The Laura Cove design came about as the most boat that will utilize 4’ X 8’ plywood sheet material better than the larger Harry II design.
