How to make a lamb bar feeder. | The Goat Spot Forum
Apr 17, 2011 · On the link Naturalgoats posted, they have the bucket 10 position lambar which is similar to what we have. You can easily make your own using a power drill to make the holes in a bucket. You can purchase your own tubing and nipples on that website. I reckon you could find tubing a lot cheaper elsewhere though.

Jan 26, 2019 · I tried the prichard nipples on a lambar I made up for my kids. They leaked like a sieve. I put on lamb nipples- they look like what you posted but are solid black in color. Those didn't leak and seem to be working- I have a leak in the bucket test unit though. Think my hole might be a tad bit too big.

Jun 9, 2016 · 2. I feed cold milk. In the winter, I use a bucket lambar and have no trouble keeping it cold but in the summer I switch over to a cooler. I get an old cooler and drill holes in the sides of it and make it into a lambar. Works great for keeping it cold, just put in a few ice packs, put it in the shade and it stays cold until I fill it up again.
Leaving a Lambar out during the day | The Goat Spot Forum
Mar 16, 2013 · Two years ago I was posting about lambars and bottles and how much to feed and several people chimed in about filling a lambar and leaving it out. I think one person gave gradually colder and colder milk and then was filling the lambar with cold milk and the goats were okay with that. I have some questions for people that do this.

Dec 4, 2010 · When I teach kids to use the lambar, I usually wet the nipple with milk then physically put their mouth on the nipple and hold them there for a sec. The milk on the nipple will make them suck a little, but it may take a few tries to get them to actually suck since they have to suck harder than with a bottle.
Feeding cold milk to lambar babies | The Goat Spot Forum
Mar 24, 2019 · I have two 5-6 week old ewe lambs, an 8 week old Nubian buckling, and a teensy weensy 5 week Nubian doeling - two of them are on a lambar full time (meaning no nursing from a goat) the other two (one lamb and the teensy doeling) are nursing from both a Nubian mama AND the lambar. The lambar is available to them from about 7:00am to about 7:00pm.
lambar/bucket feeder for nigerians? | The Goat Spot Forum
Aug 6, 2013 · I don't think the lambar nipples would be too big, they worked just fine on some 2# boer kids. But they make a bucket feeder similar to a lambar, check the goat supplies , but its a bucket feeder, not with lamb nipples, but the pritchard nipples.
Bottle Feeding Nigerians - The Goat Spot Forum
Jan 26, 2012 · Lambar feeders I don't recommend, but if you do want to use it, the kid will probably need to be a couple weeks old at least. I've only used a lambar once and can't remember what age exactly I tried them on it. As for feedings, it kind of depends. I usually do small feedings every couple hours for the first few days and gradually lessen.
