insta-new wallpaper on my phone. as an LA native, i have been feeling nostalgic about the LA that I used to love and idealize. That LA (from my perspective) no longer exists in this post-covid new world. Would love a hi-res version if at all possible so I could make a print, or better yet if you had prints of this available, I would buy one!

Jan 19, 2024 · LA’s population density is higher than cities like Chicago, it’s actually somewhat fairly dense. It is car dependent for sure, but cruising around the hills of Santa Monica in a car is part of the experience and charm. I heard LA is massively improving and expanding their subway and light rail networks as well.

In LA, we have buses that arrive every 5 to 7 minutes. Said frequencies are non-existent in San Diego, so if you need to make a transfer and miss the bus, you're fucked. The Trolley doesn't go anywhere that's not Downtown, and even then, the downtown section is slow as fuck thanks to being built entirely at street grade.
