Feb 4, 2019 · I have a LWRC DI with the older rail that I do like, but I just think the rifle is a bit heavy for my tastes. Ditch the heavy barrel, maybe lighten up or at least extend the rail to 15 inches, and it would be my favorite rifle hands down. But if you are willing to take some weight for the ambi controls, they did a great job with them.

Jan 23, 2013 · Re: lwrc worth the money ? i had an m6a2, i didnt care for it. it was my first piston ar. it sucks with the way the piston assembly is accessed. i didnt get the warm fuzzies with having to remove two screw and pop off the top of my rail system/handguard to get at it. that, and the damn screws walked themselves out/loose all the time.

Oct 18, 2013 · I've just purchased an LWRC IC for close range training and target shooting. Most ranges here are from 50 - 300 yards. Some further away (2 1/2 hour drive go out 1000 yards). So my goal is closer range training for now. I've placed an order with LaRue for an OBR, however that's not coming for 1-2 years.

Mar 30, 2012 · The scar comes in second due to parts availability. The 16 has a lot more availability over the 17 since the military contract eats up 98% of the 17's... The lwrc is a little more prone to failure and after talking to some of my British counterparts who are using the lwrc, they said they would have preferred something different...

May 1, 2019 · Purchased a new IC-A5 in February of this year. Got it home and discovered the handrail had a small gouge that had been cerakoted over. The BCG was hard to cycle with the charging handle. Sent it to LWRC and they repaired it. Now, after only 150 rounds have discovered the cerakote is flaking off considerably inside the upper.

Aug 25, 2021 · Bcm or LWRC. Perfect intersection of price and value. I like iwi and fn, I just think bcm and lwrc make the best ar pattern guns. Ambi lower is plus for lwrc for sure but man I just like bcm. Great quality, great warranty which is usually unnecessary, and good company. But you’ve put together a solid list I will say.

Jun 19, 2018 · I sent it back to the factory because the upper, barrel nut and rail were not aligned. LWRC fixed that and also replaced the buffer spring and gas block. They test fired and sent it back but I have yet to shoot it. I plan on going with a 4-16x on low rings evetually as well as a cheek riser for the UBR style stock. I may upgrade the trigger as ...
