The British Rail Class 43 (HST) is the TOPS classification used for the InterCity 125 High Speed Train (formerly Classes 253 and 254) diesel-electric power cars, built by British Rail Engineering Limited from 1975 to 1982, and in service in the UK since 1976.

Aug 1, 2020 · Statesman Rail is recreating a lost high-speed luxury train first launched in the 1960s, running between London St Pancras and Manchester Piccadilly. Hauling passengers on this fantastic tour will be LSL’s Class 43 HST set carrying the Nanking blue livery.

Jul 30, 2020 · It has now been confirmed that both powercars and all nine trailer vehicles are to be outshopped in a modified 'Blue Pullman' livery, close to that of the original trains. Like the original sets, the HST powercar will not carry a yellow front end, thanks to modified headlights.

Nov 18, 2020 · The High Speed Train, owned by LSL, has been repainted to replicate the Blue Pullman luxury trains built for British Rail and which ran from 1960-73. LSL has branded its HST ‘Midland Pullman’ and had been due to launch the train into traffic on November 14, re-creating the St Pancras-Manchester Piccadilly operated by the Midland Region sets.
