My goal was to long haul the 2017 Hot Rod Power Tour, but due to a work conflict, I had to miss the last 2 stops (Indy and Bowling Green). While on the 2017 Hot Rod Power Tour the swap passed 40K miles since completed a little more than 4 years ago.

Mar 14, 2013 · This is what caused the LS4 starter to be tranny mounted on the 4T65 and is the major challange of using the LS4 in a manual application (no GM manual tranny setup for tranny mounted starter). Aug 26, 2024 · LS4/F40/Turbo: 2920 lbs. ??? rwhp, and 27 mpg so far. This includes a jack, spare front wheel bearing, and caliper up front (haven't taken them out from the HRPT). It also includes the heavier 17/18 wheel combo I have been running since 2016, the rear wing (2017), the twin disc clutch (2023), the 20 lbs for amp/sub/speaker setup (2024).

Apr 14, 2020 · Been slowing making progress on the LS4 engine work. Since I am deleting DoD/AFM and had the engine torn down, I went ahead and tapped the DoD oil feed ports and capped them. While the non-DoD valley cover had o-ring seals for these I will feel better knowing they are capped. I also tore down the heads and started cleaning them.

Jul 31, 2017 · The LS4/F40 Fiero is back up and running and so far I am liking the 3.09 final drive. 1st gear is much nicer and I can still cruise at 55 mph at 1480 rpm in 6th gear. Probably won't be able to use 6th much lower (I used to cruise in 6th in town at 40 mph).
