Jul 1, 2014 · on a little v8 british car forum there is a whole deal about the ls4, the above mentioned dodge bellhousing, and attempting to mount a traditional starter. apparently the prototype ls4 had a front sump oil pan and the starter mounted directly to the bottom of the pan.

Jul 22, 2021 · To successfully install an LS4 you'll need a complete donor car. Buick LaCrosse Super, Impala SS, Pontiac GXP, or Monte Carlo SS. The 4T65E-HD in the LS4 cars is still a fairly fragile transmission so keep that in mind. It'd be easier to install the Supercharged 3800 from the 04 or 05 Impala SS or Pontiac GTP. Jun 8, 2018 · Apparently the transmissions that are used by the Isuzu 3.2 v6 in the rodeo, troooer, amigo, and passports work with the ls4. From the 1 forum post I found about it. And that those are the only rwd transmissions that work without an adapter.

I still want to do a 3"from the downpipe all the way back, but am getting conflicting stories from the 2 key people that tune these cars - Will from Overkill, and Lew who does the tunes for the DiabloSport tuners.

Jan 12, 2022 · If it is car, truck transfer cases stick waaaaay too low. You'd want a drivetrain from an all wheel drive 4.6 STS and an LS4 engine and some fabrication skills for the differential/oil pan setup and starter location. But both engines have the "Metric" bolt pattern at least.

Dec 31, 2015 · I'm in Central NY, near Syracuse. More than a bit of a haul for racing the family trucksters, I'm sure you'll find some LS4 cars much closer. Yea, 50mph is a weak spot for the SS - most cars have that spot somewhere between 35 and 50 mph where they won't grab 1st, but are real buried in 2nd.
