Jan 9, 2005 · LMT BUIS = #1 It's built like a tank and still has the elevation dial for when I want to shoot iron's at 500yrds. LaRue BUIS is my second choice because every LaRue product I have seen is excellent. I have my LMT BUIS Cowitnessed to my Aimpoint/LaRue mount. It sits perfectly in the lower 1/3 and I can completely ignore it by looking over the top.

Aug 14, 2009 · The LMT is just like a cut detachable carry handle, same all metal materials, mine is an older original version which is a solid aluminum base like a regular detachable carry handle, the new current version have hogged out base which you could only see when you remove the BUIS and look at the bottom end, the improvement makes it lighter.
KAC BUIS ... still the best? - AR15.COM
Jan 6, 2022 · I've used GG&G, MI, ARMS, MATECH, Troy, Diamondhead, UTG, MagPul (MBUS and Pro), YHM, Mepro, SIG, MFT, Samson, LMT and KAC. I'm probably forgetting some brands. My preference is definitely LMT and KAC (even at $300+ a set). It has been a while since I bought FU-BUIS so I just wanted to check to see if KAC was consider "the best".

Complete LMT Defender 2000 vs. S&W 15T > AR Discussions
Sep 28, 2008 · I am trying to decide between a complete LMT Defender 2000 for $1100, a LMT Defender with SOPMOD stock for $1290 (both rifles have the LMT rear BUIS) and a S&W 15T for $1290. I like the Troy BUIS and rail on the M&P15T. On reading the forum, it sounds like the LMT is a better rifle than the S&W line.

And good luck! LMT BUIS is my favorite fixed BUIS (I have MI and Daniel Defense fixed BUIS also - LMT trumps them all).

Feb 15, 2007 · I eventually ditched the CCH BUIS and went with the MATECH BUIS and then ditched the EO altogether and went with the Aimpoint. I'm happier now. If your interested in having a LMT type BUIS with the ability of a lower 1/3rd co-witness using the EO, take a look at the RRA Dominator mounts.
LMT Flip Up BUIS? - AR15.COM
Oct 20, 2014 · The KAC Micro and "full size" are both the same height. The micro designation is just for the lighter weight mount. The LMT flip-up rear sight is the same height just like any other rear sight. You won't find any info on them as they were just recently released. I'm sure they are quality being LMT

Sep 10, 2011 · The LMT rear BUIS uses a 6/3 drum. That is what ALL detachable carry handles should have. Fixed A2 carry handle uppers should have 8/3 drums. (Excluding National Match sights) If you are using a Carbine, zero at 6/3 small gap at 25 METERS. If using a Rifle you can: Zero using 6/3 small gap at 36 YARDS -or- Zero using the z setting at 25 METERS
