Oct 4, 2019 · Our model of the T-1 has proven itself many times as a reliable locomotive. It looks at home in front of a series of freight cars or Reading passenger cars.

The Pennsylvania Railroad (PRR) class T1 duplex-drive 4-4-4-4 steam locomotives, introduced in 1942 with two prototypes and later in 1945-1946 with 50 production examples, were the last steam locomotives built for the PRR and arguably its most controversial.

Jul 31, 2019 · BMR will be present at Brickfair, Virginia this week in Chantilly, Virginia. Both Cale and Glenn will be present with the T-1, other BMR models, and a few from their own personal collections. Following the event, the T-1 will be our top and only priority until pre-orders open.

The 122 foot train (locomotive & tender) could haul heavy freight loads and fast passenger service across the Pennsylvania Railroad's lines. With a streamlined shark nose design by Raymond Loewy, and a strange 4-4-4-4 wheel arrangement, the T1 became an icon of the end of the American steam era.

Nov 26, 2016 · The LEGO T1 #5550 faithfully reproduces the powerful and graceful Art Deco design of the full size PRR T1. After months of preparation and planning, the plans are now available at https://prrt1steamlocomotivetrust.org/station/T1_Lego for a donation of $55.50.

Feb 21, 2024 · This is a much simpler and more performant setup, and unlike the Q2, the T1 has coupled bogies and can navigate R40 geometry. It it also still an almost entirely purist build save for the BBB #11 and #5 wheels.
