Jun 8, 2008 · LASD also dispatches a little different. But it actually works really well and allows LASD to maintain response times that are amazingly low for such a large agency. When you place a call for service with LASD via regular phone lines or 9-1-1 your call goes directly to your local sheriff's station.

TSB seems fun and I've heard it's got the perk of diverse training opportunities but is it recommended as ones first patrol assignment?

Jul 2, 2012 · When LASD implemented TSB dispatch, an MTA owned repeater in the tunnel was patched into Dispatch 35. 453.625 is still licensed to MTA, though utilized by deputy personnel.

TSB seems fun and I've heard it's got the perk of diverse training opportunities but is it recommended as ones first patrol assignment? TSB has great training opportunities in Anti-Terrorism and AOT training in investigations, search warrants and interviewing. I wouldn't recommend it as your first patrol assignment.
