
Interstate Cadet - Wikipedia
The Interstate Cadet is an American two-seat tandem, high wing, single-engine monoplane light aircraft. Around 320 of these aircraft were produced between the years 1941 and 1942 by the Interstate Aircraft and Engineering Corporation based in El Segundo, California.

The Interstate Co. entered the aviation industry in 1940 with the S-1B "Cadet," a tandem seat liaison airplane. When the United States entered World War II, the U.S. Army Air Forces contracted with Interstate for 250 S-1B aircraft, designating the prototype as the XO-63.

He modified it with a C-90 Continental Engine. He called it the Callair S1-A Cadet. Only one of these is still registered with the FAA and is owned by Mr. Burton Osteen of Black Mountain, NC. The N number is N2922V. It is truly a "rare bird." A wonderful airplane, it is still flying today.
