For Kyrie, mamba mentality first struck at the age of 17, when he laced up the Bruce Lee-inspired Zoom Kobe 5 at a Nike Extravaganza in California. Celebrating the moment and his appreciation for Bryant and Lee, the theme is revisited with the new Kyrie 3 'Mamba Mentality'.

Released in September 2017, the Nike Kyrie 3 'Mamba Mentality' was based on a Kobe 5 colorway that Kyrie Irving laced up as a 17-year-old for the Nike Extravaganza in California. That shoe was itself inspired by the yellow and black jumpsuit worn by Bruce Lee in his 1978 movie 'Game of Death.'
