Jan 28, 2025 · Actually, the Pulqui II traces its roots back to the Focke-Wulf Ta 183, designed by Kurt Tank - not the Messerschmitt P.1101, designed by Waldemar Voigt. I realize that, but as the two aircraft were competitors, I believe Tank was using some of the same aerodynamic data.

Jan 28, 2025 · Don't forget that Kurt Tank went to Argentina after the war, and built the Pulqui II. FMA IAe 33 Pulqui II - Wikipedia True, and that's a cool looking design, but this is a Messerschmitt design.

Jan 15, 2025 · This area of the fuselage contains in internal shaped rubber bladder fuel tank, which is secured to the inside of the fuselage with many studs. As the tank is filled, it expands due to temperature and pressure, so when it empties, it contracts - this causes the visible canning effect on the characteristic fuselage skin in this area.
