The Kubaz were an insectoid sentient species that were native to the planet Kubindi. They lived on a diet of insects, using their long snout to snatch their prey from inside hives.

Kubaz are sentient humanoids, dark in skin color, and with long snouts. Unable to pronounce words in basic, their speech is a unique series of whirring syllables. Originating on planet Kubindi, they were rare sights across the galaxy. During the Galactic Civil War, one Kubaz named Garindan found work as an Imperial informant in Mos Eisley.

Garindan ezz Zavor, sometimes referred to as Long Snoot, was a male Kubaz who had been forced to work as a spy for the Galactic Empire. In private, Garindan loathed his Imperial overlords and sought to return to his clan and free his homeworld of Kubindi from Imperial rule.
