NOCTIGON KR4 vs KR1 : r/flashlight - Reddit
Jul 11, 2020 · The KR1 is a great light, but it is fairly specialized. It puts out a very narrow beam that's great for lighting up a small area at a distance. 95% of the time you will want a wider beam than that. The KR4 is a great general-use light with enough power to reach out a fair distance when needed. There are a lot of strong opinions about high-CRI ...
My Noctigon KR4 Review; Six Months Later.
Dec 22, 2020 · The KR4 is a ‘Jack of all trades, master of none.’ It carries decently enough to maybe be an EDC; it is bright enough for most outdoor situations; and, it has an adequate throw for most scenarios.
[NLD] Just received the KR1 (W1) and the KR4 (SST-20). More ... - Reddit
Oct 4, 2020 · The KR1 (left) has a lot of throw but low lumen output. It'll light up objects far away, but isn't particularly useful up close. It has its uses, but quite often it's just a "hey, do you think this tiny thing can light up those trees over there in the distance?" light. The KR4 is quite floody and puts out a lot of lumens.
Noctigon KR1 review | EDC Thrower flashlight with 1300 lm
The Noctigon KR1 is another flashlight with the immensely popular Anduril firmware. But instead of focusing on EDC merely, the KR1 is a small pocketable thrower instead. According to specs, the KR1 is supposed to throw at a max. of 110 Kcd for the W1, and about 100 Kcd for the W2.

Oct 5, 2021 · Just got my first two “good” lights in the mails yesterday. The KR4 has a sst-20 4000K and the KR1 has a SST-40 5000k. I like the KR1 more for what I’m using it for, backpacking. The throw is great. I love the hot spot with plenty of over-spill (if that’s the word). Now, what is better?

Review: Noctigon KR1 pocket thrower with Osram W2 LED
Nov 12, 2020 · There wasn’t enough smoke or enough throw for the light from the KR4 to be seen in the air. But the KR1 easily threw far enough to catch some smoke.
Flashlight Review: Noctigon KR4 (W2 Boost)
Jan 21, 2023 · I compared the Anduril UI based Noctigon KR4 (7/7 mode) to the Noctigon KR1 (7/7 mode), Lumintop FW1A (7/7 mode), and non-Anduril based UI Sofirn SP31 V2.0 (Turbo mode) in 2 different light painting tools.
Emisar/Noctigon KR4, KR1, D4v2 output and tint measurements
Jul 28, 2020 · The 2200K tint is similar to a beautiful sunset whereas the E21A 2000K that Clemence sells look like candle light. Also pay attention to how much output the bezel kills on the mule lights. Even the color of the bezel (stainless steel vs dark gray) makes a …
