It's my understanding that the KR2 plans were drawn up with almost no changes after the prototype flew. Well, now that there are several hundred of them flying, 20/20 hindsight allows us to study the overall design and quirks in the aerodynamic behavior and tweak it here and there.

May 15, 2007 · You will need a long runway for your 1st couple of landings. The plane normally stalls at about 52mph but once in ground effect it reduces to about 35 mph that is why it floats for ever. If you are on finals at 90mph forget it you will not land. The KR2 is so clean that on a steep glide slope, with power off it will even pick up speed.
