The "KPBS" shines throughout the logo. A yellow cursive stylized " San Diego " is written out (a la the ALMI logo) as the outline of the letters flashes at the viewer, at sort of a tilted position (a la the Celebrity Home Entertainment logo).

Logo: On a black backdrop we see the KPBS written in Lubalin Graph Bold (Which was the standard font PBS used at the time) which is in blue, words San Diego written in cursive and are yellow and writing themselves out.
