Do not level past level 2 (which the game gives to you in the prologue and forces you to take). Playing all of the first planet at level 2 takes a while, but your party members can carry you, for the most part.

Unlike KOTOR 1, you immediately start off as a Jedi. The starting classes are Guardian, Sentinel, and Consular. Guardian: This class gets a lot of HP and feats early on.

Nov 12, 2021 · It doesn't really matter, like it can and if you want to min max you can look up guides for which class fits each build, but it's not like picking the wrong one will ruin your playthrough. Just go off of what it says: combat heavy characters should pick soldier, tech/skill heavy people should pick scoundrel, and hyrbids should pick scout.
