I remembered Kompozer being able to do these things as well, so tried installing it. I'm aware that Kompozer has stopped and is no longer being maintained, but I couldn't find any alternative that has these two options so started to try anyway.

After closer look to Kompozer I must tell: this software is so old, that it may be too hard to ran on such a new system, it depends on libraries from Ubuntu 12.04 or older.

Make sure you install the dependencies before installing the Kompozer .deb file. Other Alternative for Kompozer is aptana-studio but you cannot find this

Doing a Google search on the problem only results in how to install KompoZer a program left over from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS but I keep in 14.04.5 as it is easy to use. I don't believe KompoZer is any longer supported, so I need to figure out how to troubleshoot this problem.

I have the same problem with kompozer on ubuntu 12.10. But, there is a solution to the problem. Just visit this link, and yes it is voor xubuntu but its the same solution for ubuntu. I just installed it and everything seems to be working fine.
