According to Bulbapedia, "Knock Off's power has been changed from 20 to 65. In addition, it will deal 50% more damage if used on a Pokémon holding an item other than a Mega Stone. Sticky Hold does not prevent this bonus." I would assume this means Pokemon holding a Mega Stone act like they are holding nothing.

Knock off lives up to its name, it knocks off an opponent's item. If it was Leftovers, it no longer gets HP restored every turn.
