Operation: T.R.I.P. is the second story in the twelfth episode of Season 2 of Codename: Kids Next Door. It first aired on May 28, 2004 on Cartoon Network. Numbuh 3 goes to her homeland, Japan, to visit the secret Japanese KND. Father sends the Interesting Twins From Beneath the Mountain to spy Kuki and locate the KND HQ and destroy them.

In "Operation: T.R.I.P. (Twins Reconaissance Increases Peril)", Numbuh 3 is heading for her homeland of Japan where she intends to rally with the secretive Japanese branch of the KND, so Father sends his spies, the Interesting Twins From Beneath the Mountain, to follow her to the agents' lair, so an assault can be accomplished.

Each season consists of 13 episodes, most of which are composed of two 11-minute stories, making about 26 segments per season. There are also several full-length 22-minute episodes. Each title is in the form of an acronym that gives the viewer clues as to what the plot is.
