Operation: H.O.U.N.D. is the second story in the thirteenth and final episode of Season 3 of Codename: Kids Next Door. It first aired on November 12, 2004, on Cartoon Network. Numbuh 5 comes face to face with a vicious dog who is always eating her homework.

The series follows the adventures of a diverse group of five 10-year-old children who operate from a high-tech treehouse, fighting against adult and teen villains with advanced 2×4 technology. Using their code names (Numbuhs 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5), they are Sector V, part of a global organization called the Kids Next Door. [3]

In "Operation: H.O.U.N.D. (Homework Obliterated Using Nefarious Dog)", Numbuh 5 is chased on the way to school by a giant, ferocious dog that steals and eats her homework. She is convinced that the dog was the pet of a rival classmate, Valerie, because she saw it coming from her house.

Valerie is a school rival of Numbuh 5 and a favorite of their teacher, Mrs. Thompson. She is the main antagonist in Operation: H.O.U.N.D., and one of the secondary antagonists in Operation: D.O.G.H.O.U.S.E.. Valerie has French-American girl with curly blonde hair tied into low pigtails that styles after a poodles ears.
