Feb 2, 2022 · I watched the 2011 anime. Kite fights Pitou and is killed. Instead of being fed to the queen, Pitou keeps his body and reanimates it. The wiki page for Kite even mentions as much. Well before Pitou tells Gon that Kite is dead while they stand over his body, you can see Colt pull the fetus/infant that will become Kite from the queens remains.
