August 25th 2022: Version 1.1.0 has been released, bringing a new version of Kirin called Kirin XX, the special Gunvolt survival mode D-nizer (Unlocked by clearing three stages as him with his special image pulse), and various improvements.

Skills are a battle mechanic in the Azure Striker Gunvolt series. They are powerful techniques that are much stronger than regular attacks or can provide Gunvolt with non-offensive aid, and can only be used periodically.

Dec 4, 2022 · I think Kirin XX would be a lot of fun if you could still use at least some passive image pulses with her. Using the pulses that increase sword damage kudos etc might have made her a more viable and interesting character for score runs.

Aug 5, 2022 · Meshiya_ranbu's S++ rank run of BB's stage made Kirin's playstyle look easy, especially with the use of those two moves. The improved rising slash has definitely been useful, but I'm still nowhere near getting an S++ on any stage besides the very first.

Sep 17, 2022 · The only purpose of Kirin's melee combat is to deflect projectiles from your enemy. You're supposed to spam Arc Chain for damage, that's why the whole game was designed around that gimmick

Oct 15, 2022 · Usually, I go for simple combo - throw few talismans at 'em (start with charged talisman, when possible)>arc chain>triple air combo (standard slashes)>Air Tensho>Rapid Ressen (if Boss is on/near ground and not near wall, follow with Fierce Issen). Once Boss is ~50% of last health bar, finish 'em of with special.
