In Greek mythology, Alcyone (or dubiously Halcyone) [1] (/ ælˈsaɪəˌni, hælˈsaɪəˌni /; Ancient Greek: Ἀλκυόνη, romanized: Alkyónē) and Ceyx (/ ˈsiːɪks /; Κήϋξ, Kḗ x) were a wife and husband who incurred the wrath of the god Zeus for their romantic hubris.
