Khamudi (also known as Khamudy) was the last Hyksos ruler of the Fifteenth Dynasty of Egypt. Khamudi came to power in 1534 BC [2] or 1541 BC, [3] ruling the northern portion of Egypt from his capital Avaris. [3] His ultimate defeat at the hands of Ahmose I, after a short reign, marks the end of the Second Intermediate Period. [4]

Khamudi ruled from Avaris in the Nile Delta as a contemporary ruler to the Theban pharaoh Ahmose II in the south. Khamudi was known as Archles (Aρχλης) in Africanus' and Eusebius' version of Manetho 's Epitome, while he is known as Assis (Aσσις) to Josephus.

Khamudi marked the end of the 15th Dynasty and the "Great Hyksos" kings. He was responsible for the withdrawal of the Hyksos from the Delta after a failed campaign against the Theban king Ahmose I. Ahmose attacked Avaris in about year eleven of Khamudi's reign (about the 18th year of Ahmose's) and the town of Heliopolis was captured.
