The KGV-8/8A/8B/8C miniature secure data units (SDUs) are general-purpose, half-duplex, removable, and embeddable communications security (COMSEC) transmission security (TRANSEC) modules that support the implementation of the Joint Tactical Information Distribution System (JTIDS) terminals in ships and aircraft for the Department of the Navy (DON).
