Nov 24, 2021 · Haven't played zomboid but from gameplays I've seen it looked quite different from Kenshi. Or specifically much more focused on random searching through boxes. Kenshi is bit more rewarding plus exploration also gives hints into lore which is nice as well.

Kenshi is a story RPG more than a colony game, though it allows you to have a colony if you want. Both have very strong emergent stories, minimal goals, and flexible systems. Rimworld has superior mods.

Nov 20, 2023 · Kenshi gives you more freedom in a sandbox, whereas conan is more about base building and combat. Kenshi you control a squad or party, and do pretty much anything with them. Holy crusade, monster hunter, drug dealer, whatever you want.

Its not an exact copy by any means, but the most similar game style that resonates and is known by the vast majority of players would be kenshi, and it is very likely that if you do enjoy kenshi you'd like this game as well.

If you can get FNV, FO3, FO4, for the proce of Kenshi, itd be worth it. You can get a few hundred hours out of any of the fallout games, especially with modding, especially NV lol. But Kenshi probably has in the order of thousands of hours of available gameplay, with and without modding.
