Build four gates facing each other across your arena, lower them as deep as you can (to minimize the ramp). Then, swamp fences are going to be your friends. You'll need to enable them with a mod ("Extended Campsite" is probably the easiest). You can use either them or regular walls to enclose a circle around the two gates.
