The Kate Chopin House, also known as the Bayou Folk Museum or Alexis Cloutier House, was a house in Cloutierville, Louisiana. It was the home of Kate Chopin, author of The Awakening, after her marriage.

The Kate Chopin House was the Cane River home of author Kate Chopin and her husband Oscar. Her experiences here led her to record the history, folklore, and lifestyles of the people of the Cane River area.

The Chopin House, established as the Bayou Folk Museum in 1965, is owned by the Association for the Preservation of Historic Natchitoches. The National Historic Landmark designation of this house was obtained through its association with late 19th century author Kate Chopin.
