Kamigawa (kah-mee-GAH-wah); [3] Japanese: 神 (かみ) 河 (がわ) ; literally: "river of the gods" or "divine river") is a plane strongly based on Japanese culture, and was the setting for the Champions, [4] Betrayers, Saviors, and Neon Dynasty expansions and their corresponding books.

Kamigawa is an expert-level Magic: The Gathering block inspired by Japanese myths and revolving around the battle between spirits (kami) and living beings. For many hundreds of years, Kamigawa's denizens peacefully worshipped the spirits of their world. Then suddenly their gods attacked, forcing the world into brutal war. Reminiscent of sengoku-era Japan, this plane contains two symbiotic worlds: the utsushiyo, or material realm, and the kakuriyo, or kami spirit realm.

Released 17 years ago, Kamigawa is a time capsule of magic design. Damage prevention, repeatable counterspells, regeneration, 1/1s, on board tricks, Frostwielder s, mana denial, Moat s, and many other aspects of it have since departed from magic.

The Kamigawa block is the tenth block, consisting of the large expansion Champions of Kamigawa and the two small expansions Betrayers of Kamigawa and Saviors of Kamigawa (). The block came out in 2004–2005.
