Mar 30, 2012 · Rust is not a problem I've had with any of my Kahrs... not even the carbon steel model. If you fear your stainless Kahr may suffer from some rust issue, then I recommend Eezox to keep the rust at bay. It is a good product that works.

Oct 24, 2013 · I contacted Kahr to ask for any solutions or upgrades in relation the rusting magazine button. They related that it used to be polymer but mating against a metal magazine, the buttons were failing after some wear.

Sep 30, 2010 · My K9 - Carbon steel Slide with SS frame - do develops a rust rather fast. If I don't maintain the finish with oiled rug, it'll show light serface rust in less then a week (since its my main carry gun). Which is sucking, because gun is just about perfect CCW other then its very suceptable to rust.

Dec 1, 2012 · I have never seen corrosion and rust on a brand new stainless steel slide. I think it was part of the grease and lube that comes on a new gun. I have 2 Kars and have yet to see any signs of corrosion or rust after 1 year.

Nov 5, 2002 · I've had two Kahr rust issues: 1) PM9 had a very rusted mag release. Surprise to me when I took it apart. 2) P9 developed a few light spots of rust on the very front of the slide, on the top left near the sight. The P9 is only about a year old. I am in Texas where it is hot and sweaty, but I carry the P9 in a water proof holster.

Feb 19, 2020 · My biggest issue is the internals are NOT RUST RESISTANT. I know that we are supposed to take care of our guns, but mine rusted after a few days of sweating all over it to the point the trigger was not reliable.

Aug 4, 2012 · anyone else have rust issues with the kahr pm9? The mag release on mine will become rusty enough to hamper its' function in only a few days of carrying. The barrel will flash rust quickly as well.
