It's happening throughout industry in general, not just with guns. The P40 is also a little cheaper. Lighter AND cheaper... Most Kahr fans will opt for a P40.

Aug 2, 2010 · I have been trying to find information on the KAHR K40 nickel handguns via the internet. This forum is the only thing I have found that offers a ray of hope. Is the K40 model 4041 rare (few numbers made)? I can find little info on this model. I have an opportunity to pick one up, and I assume the nickel model came out before the stainless models.

May 25, 2007 · K9 and K40 Kahr's I have owned eleven Kahr's and currently own six. Last November, I bought a K9 Elite '03 to compliment my K40 Elite '98 purchased almost 10 years ago. Both of these pieces have been perfection. The triggers are superb and rather short in their travel.
