It can be done on the CW380 even when recoil springs are new, but its a bear and takes practice. But no question the smallest Kahrs are harder than other guns, especially when the springs are new. In fact Kahr's recommendation is to load the chamber using the slide release. One option: Start with an EMPTY MAGAZINE in the receiver.

My new CW380 after break-in was flawless except it was plagued with light primer strikes and was returned once for repair. The barrel, striker and recoil springs were replaced by Kahr causing failure to feed and slide not locking back after last round problems with the light primer strikes seeming to be much worse.
