I’ll test them out next range trip with my NT4 can and report back, i’ll see if my colleague with a db reader will tag along so I have some quantifiable data.

The KAC mounts have less than .002" of play so that would imply that the KAC NT4 may have less wobble than an AAC M4-2000 especially given the NT4 has ~1.75" of bearing surface and the M4-2000 has .0033" of play on a surface about .9" wide.

Mar 24, 2020 · Our system is based on the A2 flash suppressor. The KAC system is a proprietary mount system that resembles an A2. You can't run a KAC mount as a mount for a Griffin can, and you can't run a KAC can on an A2. The NATO A2 grooves were intended to afford ability to use some rifle grenades, and also to allow some accessory attachment such as BFA's.

Jun 21, 2024 · I'm still looking for a few more of these old style NT4 silencers to go on some rifles. I have 3 KAC SR15 SBR's with surplus SR16 uppers, USMC MARSOC Mk18 and M4A1 Block II clones, and a USMC SAM-R clone that all need NT4 silencers. I might have a few other rifles in need of NT4 silencers, but that's all that I can think of right now.

Nov 4, 2014 · The new KAC suppressors may be worth looking at, but the NT4? It's a heavy tank from a bygone era in the suppressor world. Sure, it still works the same as it always did, but both KAC and Surefire currently produce lighter, more effective, better suppressors now days. I personally prefer surefire, but the KAC QCB suppressor looks pretty neat to me.

Apr 5, 2021 · The obvious differences were a .290 bore went to .300" diameter in the NT4. The Tan paint of the NT4 was formerly black in the M4QD. The NT4 locking gate got a roll pin that created drag on the redundancy latch. The M4QD didn't have the roll pin, and the redundancy latch would rotate during use and that was a little distracting / annoying.
