According to the builder he applied it correctly and he did remove all the original paint that was on the wall and then keyed it prior to applying the slurry. It is now 3 weeks down the line and there are patches of the wall which are still quite wet looking. The tanking looks visibly damp which is alarming!

Can you dot and dab plasterboards straight onto the cured tanking slurry? Alternatively using foil backed boards, fix them using battens screwed into the wall, making sure that all drill holes are filled with DPC cream.

Jan 27, 2017 · Hopefully you can see the images above, I'm after some advice/input really, I am tanking my basement using KA tanking slurry, It is dry at present and doesn't smell so hoping a good tanking will make it a decent space. I have used this above ground previously for rising damp (different property) but never below ground.

Nov 2, 2020 · I would clean the retaining wall well, apply brush coat or two of an anti sulphate solution,SBR, two coat tanking slurry , coat with your render to protect tanking , job done. You may have to return the tanking around side wall a bit where it meets the retaining wall.
