Feb 1, 2012 · The Ka-Bar Mk I is a good design, by a well known manufacturer, and is an excellent choice for a tactical knife. I just think the BK-2 is a better big knife, and neither of them can claim to be a small knife for bushcraft use. All depends on the way you envision using the blade, in the long run. If it works for you, all is golden.

I chopped up some veggies, Added the last remnants of some leftover ham, Heated the pan, and tossed in the veggies. I like to sauté the veggies a bit before I toss the ham in. That is literally all i know. when i look up anything on this knife all i find is old Pages advertising them. and i get 50 different answers about what blade steel. Feb 16, 2018 · I modified my KA-BAR USMC shorty by cutting off the top part of the guard for the exact reason @Elgatodeacero mentioned. Stripped the blade of the paint job and then put a patina on it by using ketchup and a vinegar soak. Added rubber O-rings sizes #12-13-13-12-10 to the grooves in the handle for a better grip.
