The MK71 Hardtail is specifically designed for the Kawasaki KZ400 and the KZ440 original factory frame from 1971 to 1983. The hardtail, once installed, eliminates a large portion of frame tubing significantly cleaning up the overall appearance and ultimately resembles a "digger" type frame.

This is a build thread of a Kawasaki KZ400 with a KZ440 engine. It was started back in November of 2009 and the 6 month build ended up taking 2 1/2 years. I'll try and post pictures in order as the build took place with notes of the problems along the way.

The hardtail displayed incorporates a slant style drop seat and 20mm V-style axle plates which are additional options available.
