Jan 17, 2018 · There have been a lot of frame breaks after doing the AF conversions and some point to HAZ, square tubing that's not properly radisued, and improper head stay designs. However, nothing definitive has been proven one way or the other.

Mar 19, 2014 · IMO, the big thing with an AF conversion is more modern ergos and newer suspension. The idea of weight savings is all smoke unless your donor is a total pig like my '94 KDX250 (273lb 2T!) which I'm doing an AF conversion on.

Here is a 2009 KX250F chassis with a 2007 KX250 motor installed by MPS racing. I purchased the bike last year with plans to make it a single track trail bike. I just bought a street legal CR500AF and would rather build that so this one is up for sale.

Jun 17, 2010 · Stick with the kx250 swap, it'll be easy, fun, and you'll end up with a nice ride. I have access to a 97 kx frame what do ya think about that. It will be a big improvement over the OEM KDX frame. Better ergos, stiffer, and lighter.
