Editorial: Kv7 Channels: Structure, Physiology, and Pharmacology
The Kv7 family of voltage-gated potassium (K +) channels consists of five members (Kv7.1-7.5) encoded for by the KCNQ1-5 genes, respectively. Kv7 channels assemble as tetramers of identical or compatible α subunits, with each α subunit consisting of six transmembrane segments (S1–S6) and cytoplasmic N- and C-termini.
The Kv7 Channel and Cardiovascular Risk Factors - PMC
In this review, we focus on the family of the Kv7 channel encoded by the KCNQ genes and explore their possible role in cardiovascular disease (CVD) and the risk factors hypertension (HT), obesity and diabetes.
KV7 - Wikipedia
Tomb KV7 was the tomb of Ramesses II ("Ramesses the Great"), an ancient Egyptian pharaoh during the Nineteenth Dynasty. It is located in the Valley of the Kings opposite the tomb of his sons, KV5, and near to the tomb of his son and successor Merenptah, KV8.
Chemical modulation of Kv7 potassium channels - PMC - PubMed …
Kv7 (KCNQ) channels are non-inactivating voltage-gated potassium channels, originally called M-channels, and are expressed by KCNQ genes.
Pathways modulating neural KCNQ/M (Kv7) potassium channels
Nov 1, 2005 · Mutations in Kv7 genes cause neurological disorders such as epilepsy and deafness. Kv7/M channels are inhibited by neurotransmitters that act on receptors coupled to the G protein G q....
