A Known Traveler Number (KTN) is issued to all individuals approved to receive TSA PreCheck® expedited screening. The KTN must be added in the KTN field when booking airline travel reservations to have the TSA PreCheck® indicator appear on your boarding pass.

If you are a member of the TSA PreCheck® Application Program, look up your Known Traveler Number (KTN) here. If you are a member of another trusted traveler program, such as Global Entry, NEXUS, or SENTRI, log on to the Trusted Traveler Program website to obtain your PASSID, which is your KTN.

This tool is for TSA PreCheck® Application Program members only. Global Entry, NEXUS or SENTRI members may retrieve their PASSID (which serves as the KTN) at the Trusted Traveler Program website or on their Trusted Traveler card. The Trusted Traveler Programs (Global Entry, TSA PreCheck ®, SENTRI, NEXUS, and FAST) are risk-based programs to facilitate the entry of pre-approved travelers. All applicants are vetted to ensure that they meet the qualifications for the program to which they are applying.

If you are an eligible Global Entry, NEXUS or SENTRI member, enter your membership number (PASS ID) in the “Known Traveler Number” field when booking reservations, or enter it into your frequent flyer profile with the airline.

Those who enrolled directly in TSA PreCheck will typically have nine letters or digits beginning with “TT” — such as TT1234ABC. If you enrolled in Global Entry, NEXUS, or SENTRI programs, the PASSID printed on the back of your card also serves as your KTN.
