The G95 is designed for the German KSK and KSM special forces unit. During field testing of the rifle it was known as the HK416A7. It is similar to the HK416A5 variant but with a 45-degree safety selector, that rotates 45 degrees rather than 90 degrees as on the A5 variant safety selector.
