Apr 12, 2021 · Can anyone confirm that they have an ATIS frequency available at KSFO? I do not. It is supposed to be 118.85, but there is no ATIS frequency listed in the information or ATC window and 118.85 does provide ATIS in the sim. I’m trying to determine if this just on my install or a known issue. I have the World Update installed and it says the airport is up to date.

May 26, 2022 · Not sure if you can replicate by manually tuning an ATIS frequency or if you must have one automatically begin playing as you fly within range of the station. In either case, once you have an ATIS broadcast message playing, try to change frequencies during the playback. If the issue exists, the ATIS message will repeat itself from the beginning.

May 6, 2022 · I was just wondering if any one else was having ATC problems specifically with a continual ATIS broadcast and no options to tune to an alternate frequency. Its good to know the conditions at a given location but im getting the same info on continual loop for the whole length of a flight be it 20mins or 2hrs im hearing the same ATIS info over and over.

Feb 5, 2021 · So if for example your ATC is having 3 as the tune in ATIS button. Even if you don’t have the ATC window open, the sim is still having the focus on that invisible ATC window. So when you accidentally press 3 for whatever reason, it thinks that you’re selecting option 3 from the ATC window which will tune into ATIS.

Nov 17, 2023 · Video says it all. METAR/RW ATIS said 4 knot winds, but seeing the whitecaps on the water foreshadowed this weather event. This was actually my second landing attempt…I was able to go-around the first time and try again, and was able to capture the vid. I didn’t know a plane could fly sideways!

Provide Screenshot(s)/video(s) of the issue encountered: Detailed steps to reproduce the issue encountered: Tune COM1 & COM2 to any frequency other than 124.85. Fly the ATR within range of KSNS. Note KSNS ATIS (124.85) is picked up by the radio, presumably on COM3.

Feb 26, 2023 · Sometimes they’ll put a planned switchover in the ATIS. Other airports, such as my home airport, simply tells Approach of their intent to switch active runways and Approach starts vectoring all new arrivals to the new runways. Tower then updates the ATIS at that time, and starts sending departures to the new runways.
