KPIX-TV (channel 5), branded as CBS Bay Area, is a television station licensed to San Francisco, California, United States, serving as the CBS network outlet for the San Francisco Bay Area. It is owned and operated by the network's CBS News and Stations division alongside KPYX (channel 44), an independent station.

In 2007 KPIX began broadcasting "Eye on the Bay" in High Definition. On January 28, 2008, KPIX began broadcasting its newscasts in 1080i high definition, becoming the third station in the Bay Area to broadcast its newscasts in HD. KTVU became the first in 2006, KGO and KNTV followed in 2007 and 2008, respectively.
